Meet the Doctor

Originally from San Francisco, California, Dr. John Tieu decided to move to the East Coast to continue his education at Boston University where he completed his Doctorate in Dental Medicine in 2000. Soon after graduation, Dr. Tieu joined Pondside Dental Associates originally as an associate.

With over two decades of experience in dentistry, Dr. Tieu strives to provide the highest standard of dental care for his patients. He strongly believes in the power of preventive dentistry which can save patients from a considerable amount of costly oral health problems in the long run.

Knowledge is key to success as embodied by Dr. Tieu’s continued commitment to learning via continuing education. He remains focused on the latest innovations, diagnostics and treatment methods in order to maintain the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and comfort for his patients. With his calm and gentle traits combined with his meticulous attention to detail, Dr. Tieu strives to give his patients a painless dental experience and results that exceed expectations. He makes sure that his patients leave the office with a complete understanding of their oral needs.

During his spare time, he enjoys quality time with his family as well as playing different musical instruments, especially guitar.
