Meet the Doctor

Dr. Anne “Annie” I. Rao joined Pondside Dental Associates in 2021. As a general dentist, Dr. Rao focuses on comprehensive oral health for patients of all ages. She understands the link between oral health and systemic health and aims to educate patients on treatments and the options available to them when restoring dental health.

Dr. Rao is originally from Massachusetts. She attended Dartmouth College for her undergraduate degree prior to earning her DMD degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.
Following dental school, she completed her residency in General Dentistry through the New York Langone Hospital program, stationed at a community health center in Dorchester, MA. During residency, Dr. Rao advanced her skills in general dentistry, emergency dentistry, and pediatric dentistry in a public health setting. Dr. Rao enjoys taking continuing education courses to expand her skill set and belongs to both the American Dental Association and the Massachusetts Dental Society.

Outside of the office, she enjoys traveling, fishing, hiking and crafting. This year, she is hoping to get a puppy!
